Burning a hole in my pocket

It's Saturday morning and I haven't felt this relaxed in a long time. I'm sitting on my couch blogging with a cup of coffee. Since I'm officially wireless, I have the portability to search for ways to spend my money anywhere in the house. The latest ideas:
Crate CPB150 PowerBlock (guitar amp): $85 starting bid on Ebay

Nikon D80 Digital SLR: $1,222.00

The ankle is better, but my colleagues couldn't be worse.

Went fucking running tonight. ?. I don't get it. For some reason all the streets looked the same. I'm either on drugs or just straight fucked. It's now midnight:22am. Gotta get up at 6:30 for the one of the 5/7ths of bullsh1t I deal with each week. Let me give a shout out to the bunch of fat-head b!tches I work with. Here's looking at you f(_)ck knobs.

Ellipsis

I got nothing better to do. So I bought a guitar and play around on that now. Again, thanks for spending my $$$ Matt. It's actually probably in reality the best money I've spent on myself in a while. You know how people always justify purchases...it's an investment. Learning these songs:

  • Everlong - Foo Fighters
  • Pardon Me - Incubus
  • Back in Back - AC/DC
  • Comfortable Liar - Chevelle
  • Send the Pain Below - Chevelle

Pretty much have Everlong down. Pardon Me gets tricky after the intro... Incubus' guitarist is a true technician. Back in Black is classic bitchin' material and I don't think it's that hard, but just haven't gotten too into it because I need to buy an amp to get the sound right. Then I'll be motivated. Chevelle is just a badass sound, so that's motivation enough. Peace b!tchez.

NYC's Finest

Alright folks, I stumbled across one of the coolest things on the web this week. And by "cool on the web" everyone knows I simply mean that it holds your attention for more than two seconds. The NY Times has a murder map, which basically shows you where, when, how, and how many (confirmed) murders have occured in the city. A map on the right side of the page allows you to click on the different boroughs and the little tabs show you all the info. Wicked sweet.

Haircuts make the world go 'round

You know it's a good barber shop when it looks old and run down, has grafitti on its exterior, and the blue and red paint on the pole outside has faded in the sun. Or, if there is a double barber pole out front. That's nice too.

Just trying to make it another day

This course I'm going through sucks. The saying "it can only get better" is never true. It always gets worse.

A taste of Japan for Yokai

In case you haven't noticed, black and white photography is one of my hobbies. Perhaps you noticed I haven't posted anything to this biktch for about 5 months. Been busy. Yokai motivated me to revamp this blog. Thanks. I just spent 2 hours on this crap and have to get up for some b(_)llsh!t at 06:00.
